Cafe Pinnalanda is a fantastic place for budget travelers who love elephants. the staff is friendly, the room is clean and comfortable, and the location is convenient. You can easily walk to the elephant orphanage and witness the bathing ritual in the river. the hotel also offers a free tour to nearby attractions, making it a great base for exploring the area.
The lack of restaurants on-site may be inconvenient who prefer to dine at the hotel.

Appreciated super and great breakfasts!!
Location : the hotel was close to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, main attraction and a herbal garden where the guide was pushy. Also, it was 1 mile from Iparanigama Theme Park. The a double room was tastefully decorated with a balcony and a mini bar.

We stayed at Cafe Pinnalanda for 4 nights, enjoying the convenience of its location right in front of the elephant orphanage. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities and a balcony. The breakfast was delightful, offering a mix of traditional Sri Lankan food, toast, fruits, and hot beverages. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful, even providing us with free rides to various attractions. we had an amazing time here and highly recommend it.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The room was clean and comfortable, with satellite TV, AC, and a mini-bar fridge. the front balcony provided a different experience and the hotel's location was very convenient. Parking was also available. the breakfast served was good and the manager and other staff members were kind and helpful.
The staff's treatment and response to our requests were just okay. They constantly tried to persuade us to visit privately-run elephant farms where the animals are mistreated, instead of the government-run Pinnawalla Orphanage.

I chose this hotel for the leadership summit I attended because it is a family-run business with over 30 years of experience. The location was excellent, in close proximity to the Elephant Park and other attractions. The facilities provided a comfortable stay and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
The only service I missed for my work was a reliable and fast Wi-Fi connection.

We had a fantastic stay at a lovely hotel in Pinnawala, just a stone's throw away from the Elephant Orphanage. The location couldn't have been more perfect for us. Our room was big, clean, and incredibly comfortable, providing us with everything we needed. The breakfast offered a delicious mix of Sri Lankan and European food, satisfying our taste buds in the morning. Despite a small hiccup with the Wi-Fi and TV not working, we were able to enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and convenient stay in Pinnawala.
